Concept product design and strategy for an “Instagram-like-app” for sharing game moments.

Think Instagram for gamers. PICTUR allows you to access and share your game moments whenever you want.
By following friends, publishers, and pro-gamers you can keep up-to-day with the things that interested you.

For users, PICTUR is a tool that allows them to easily capture, tweak, and share their game moments when they want.

For brands, PICTUR is a platform that allows them to reach gamers directly by blending their content into the community stream.

Why PICTUR?

Every day, gamers all over the world are sharing photos and videos of their game moments through different social networks; Twitter, Imgur, Facebook, NeoGAF, Reddit, and more!
This trend increased by the inclusion of in-game photo mode by many blockbuster games like Uncharted 4, DOOM, Driveclub, Horizon Zero Dawn, Zelda BoTW, The Last of Us, Firewatch and more.
The social sharing of game moments is all over the place because there isn’t a platform that allows a simple, fun & creative way to capture, edit & share game moments.

The world’s fastest-growing entertainment medium

The game industry has grown like no other and so its community. One hundred fifty-five million Americans regularly play video games and spent $36 billion just in 2017.
With the rise of eSports, experts expect to see even more significant numbers in the following years.
eAthletes will need a platform to show-off to their fans, and sponsors will need to reach that audience too.
Besides Twitch, PICTUR is the only platform that allows tailor-made content for gamers.
Going far beyond the traditional “gamer” dynamic, the games and playable media audience are now one of the most valuable and engaged demographics.

Captures are sent to our servers so users can access them whenever they want through the PICTUR app.

Captures live on the cloud, which means that gamers no longer have to pause the game for sharing a moment.
Now they can access their captures anytime and share whenever they want and how they want.
Asynchronous sharing provides users a frictionless experience where they can share moments while being off the console.

Tweak photo and video capture as you like.

PICTUR’s photo and video editing capabilities allow users to have control over the content they share.
From photo and video filters to metadata from the captures, that lets users superimpose data from the game.
Numbers of frags, achievements won, details of weapon earned, or even tag a friend, all are available to create unique posts.

Share when and where you want.

Content is always accessible so that users can share their content in the PICTUR community as well as other social networks.

How will scale?

  1. Partnerships with blockbuster games to gain communities (Rocket League).
  2. Partnerships with pro-gamers of targeted communities.

Custom-developed solutions and API integration for blockbusters

The best chance that an indie game developer has to succeed with a title is by creating a great game and have a ton of social media influence.
By providing a free API, any game developers can give its users the possibility to capture photos and videos and quickly post them on PICTUR or other social networks. User-generated marketing will boost audience reaching and user acquisition.

Key partnerships with competitive games and pro-gamers

Danil Ishutin (AKA Dendi), the Ukrainian gamer from Navi, has 415K followers on Twitter and 511K on Twitch, him alone can reach over a million people.
Even reaching influencers with profiles not as high as Dendi, PICTUR can potentially reach millions of users in the first year.

The Rocket League Sample

Rocket League is a niche with 50M active users.
By partnering with titles like this, PICTUR can become the place to go when members of that community want to consume highlights.
Partnerships with Pro Players of that community will also bring followers.

How will PICTUR monetize?

Unlike most people might think the answer to this question is not Ads, or at least not only Ads. The tremendous monetization opportunity for PICTUR is to become a micro-transactions marketplace. According to newzoo.com, the Global Games Market Will Generate $152.1 Billion in 2019. That’s three times Facebook revenue in 2018! 🤯
